The Orchard Ethos
The ethos of Orchard School is based on the belief that the best possible start a child has, right from their earliest days, shapes their future in multiple different ways. For 30 years, we have had a passion for building successful futures and helping to develop each one of those in our care into amazing children.
Nursery - Ages 0 -3
The nursery at Orchard has a long tradition of welcoming children either as a baby or around the time of their second birthday. Our main aim for our youngest children is to help with the transition from home to nursery. We are very aware that young babies thrive on warm and consistent love and care, and it is very important that your baby feels safe and secure.
School - Ages 4 - 9
Orchard provides the best in education, priding itself in teaching children how to learn, how to think for themselves and to have enquiring minds. Our task as educators is to find and nurture individual potential and confidence in each child. We seek to ignite a passion for learning in every child that, with careful and expert nurturing, can never be extinguished.
A welcome from the head
First and foremost, welcome to the Orchard School website and thank you for taking the time to visit us digitally. The founding of Orchard School and Nursery in 1991 was based on the observations I had of very young children and their 100% enthusiasm for life. From the outset, Orchard School has been designed to nurture that eagerness which exists within all children, keep their ‘why’ questions coming and encourage the ‘how’ - no matter how challenging they are to answer on occasion.
